a story to tell

yum!!!

fat fat fat fat fat

i was looking for a link on one of my old post. and then i saw that i was complaining about people who talk about other people’s appearance. i was wondering if anyone else had that problem so i searched the tag ‘fat’.

and what i saw scares the shit out of me. we have a massive (pardon the pun) problem with the world today. i wish i could tell all the young ladies out there that

1. self-confidence / self-love is very attractive. pointing out your flaws on every single post is not. putting yourself so down you want to die is not. shoulders back, chest out, chin up girls!

2. be healthy - don’t exercise because you want to lose weight. exercise because you enjoy a good sweat, the glow on your skin and your heart racing.

3. don’t starve yourself / don’t overeat - sit down, enjoy your food, every single bite is a colorful burst of tastes. i mean, imagine if you didn’t have a tongue. so yeah, enjoy it, damnit.

4. you are okay. you are fine. you are not ugly as you think you are. you are beautiful, you are as special and unique as a snowflake. you deserve to be treated better, you deserve to treat yourself better.

that’s that.

Truth alone triumphs; not falsehood.
Through truth the divine path is spread out by which
the sages whose desires have been completely fulfilled,
reach where that supreme treasure of Truth resides.

JCPenny’s Same-Sex Mother’s Day Catalog Photo

And as usual, a group of women who bored us with their complaints on Urban Outfitters and Toys ‘R’ Us before, as known as “One Million Moms”, has anti-gay things to say, or pardon me but simply shenanigans about this photo. To learn more, check out the story from Huffington Post by clicking here.

Aaaand this is why I love JC Penney!

Yup I’m reblogging this again.

Can this One Million Moms group go away now? All they’re doing is spreading hatred and bigotry. This ad makes me super happy, just to see LGBT people be represented like this! (:

the only thing i find weird with this ad is the disembodied hand (with the orange nails) :-s
